What is counselling?
Counselling is a type of talking therapy. It is an opportunity for you to talk through any problems or difficulties that you are experiencing, in confidence and without judgement. You may be unsure of how you are feeling, or may feel unable to express fully what is on your mind.
Counselling can seem like a daunting step to take. Maybe you’ve heard friends or family say things like: pull yourself together or don’t worry, you’ll get over it, and you may be feeling like you’re missing something or you’re not quite getting it right that’s exactly when counselling can help.
Counsellors are trained to listen differently to your friends and family and because of their closeness, you may find it difficult to fully express how you are feeling. As trained counsellors, we are impartial and non-judgmental and we aim to help you overcome any issues which may be causing you emotional distress.
Through confidential one to one counselling we work with you to help you understand your feelings and ultimately to help you make life choices that are right for you, with confidence
